What should I expect
Hi I have my first
vascular
surgery
clinic appointment tomorrow. Can anyone advise on what to expect. Also any questions I should ask. I had an echocardiogram and it showed some dilation of the aorta. TIA 😊

New Diagnosis
I have two appointments coming up one in March at
vascular
surgery
clinic and in April at cardiology clinic. I have to say that I am not as devastated as when I got my son's diagnosed.

Palliative care, does it still exist?
Meanwhile the nurse in
vascular
surgery
has got me Farrow wraps for my legs and I'm injecting myself daily for my bones. All this is going well but nothing from the palliative care team. I was hoping someone would contact me as I could do with some advice.

Trigeminal Neuralgia pain
Surgery has been suggested as an option but this is a big thing to think about as it's classed as brain
surgery
Has anyone has successful Mirco-
vascular
decompression (MVD )
surgery
? I am just trying to get as much information as I can before I make a decision about the surgery

I'm struggling
Last year I had Micro
Vascular
Decompression
Surgery
to treat Trigeminal Neuralgia. On the good side, it's cured me from that awful illness. But it came with a very high price.

Motion Sickness
At the ripe old age of 77, I will be taking my first cruise this summer with my children and grandchildren. I'm trying to be prepared for anything so I asked my doctor about medications for motion sickness. He said I would not be able to use the patch that is worn behind the ear because it can cause

Side Effects of Hydrea?
Ho everyone, I had a stroke last year which led to them discovering that I am Jak2 positive. I was initial put onto Pegasus, but that had horrendous side effects and was then put onto Hydrea. Almost since first getting put onto Hydrea, there have been a bunch of different things that I feel can

Tests
How do you all get these tests done. I've had IBS for over 10 years and no test has ever been offered to me . I suffer every other day . And even going to my GP all she said is take probiotics, mebeverine and cut down on fibre , as I have IBS (D) and sometimes mixed . Every morning is a battle going

Tia Stroke
Recent numbness in right arm and face. 10 minute duration. Bloodwork good. CT and CTA good. MRI with contrast good. Holter 48 hr. Good. No AF since first episode in 1994. Recent Echo Of Heart and Carotids. Good. Ironically, discussing stopping Flecainide and this happens. Has anyone taken Flecainide

BLOOD RESULTS - HELP PLEASE
GP didn't do a great job of translating. My learned friends can probably do much better: ESR 5.8 CRP 5.0 LDL 3.89 HDL 1.89 TC 6.3 (should the LDL and HDL not add up) Triglycerides 1.48 Glucose 5 My BP is controlled with meds. I do not want to go on a statin. She wants me on one. What do you all think

Apixaban rash
Diagnosed with DVT 4 weeks ago and prescribed Apixaban for life. This is my 3rd DVT. No problems for weeks and then a rash, very itchy, has developed on upper chest and top of arms. Occasional clusters elsewhere too. Just looking for general comments please before seeking potential switch to warfarin

Taking K2 MK7
I’ve heard that taking K2 MK7 is good for your bones, but am not sure if it’s safe to take with Xarelto. Apparently it cannot be taken if prescribed to Warfarin but it’s unclear as to whether or not it’s safe with other anticoagulants. Can anyone clarify this for me?
