Do you follow the Rules of Two?

Our friends at Baylor Health Care System came up with this way of assessing your asthma treatment plan. The Rules of Two state:

Your treatment is NOT working if...

1) You have asthma symptoms and require use of a quick-relief inhaler TWO or more times a week.

2) Your asthma wakes you up TWO or more times a month.

3) You refill your quick-relief inhaler canister TWO or more times a year.

If you experience any of these, you should schedule a visit with your primary care doctor or board-certified allergist.

How do you evaluate whether your asthma treatment is working or not?
