I know my triggers but have been caught by surprise once. My neighbor was barbecuing and put sauce on the chicken. It gassed off and came in my window where I was sitting at my computer. I started coughing and a couple days later I was in the doctor's office getting my prescription for Prednisone and cough medicine. That time it was two months. I've had worse.

Infections mainly. Never have an infection without acute asthma. We are redoing allergy tests now. Consensus in the past was that I wasn't allergic. Possibly I'm not allergic but airways are hypersensitive to irritants. Dust makes my chest feel tight.
