METFORMIN TRIALS - DIABETES

I keep seeing these "dinner invitations" to attend informative seminars for people who are Type II diabetics taking Metformin. The ads profess to get you off of Metformin and "reverse your diabetes". Does anyone know about these seminars?

Not sure why my doctor in San Francisco also stopped me taking metformin last week. Throw them away. FYI he stopped me taking Simvastatin for cholesterol also.

Hi Robbia, I read your post and recently my husband and I attended a "free" dinner for reversing diabetes. He has type 2 and was interested but what it amounted to was going to a office run by someone who specializes in vitamins and you end up spending thousands of dollars for nothing. So obviously we didn't sign up, it was a scam to get your money.

I've had Type 2 Diabetes for almost 17 years. Seven months ago I was taking Metformin at a high dosage twice a day. My BS had been under control for a long time. Since the end of June of 2017, I've been off all medications and only use diet and exercise to control BS. My last A1c was 5.3. There are no miracle cures for the reversal of Diabetes. Just snake oil salespeople selling a false hope for folks desperate enough to part with their hard-earned money.
