Hello, I am a new member here and hope you don't find this post too rambling. I was diagnosed with Graves disease 5 years ago after blood tests confirmed thyrotoxicosis due to Graves. After 12 months on Carbimazole it was decided I could come off it altogether. I have to say I have never felt so well as I did while on Carbimazole. I have been well (sort of) up until 5 months ago when I started to get severe leg pain and weakness (exactly how it started the last time), dizziness, nausea, vision problems and dry eyes, skin dryness, weight loss, palpitations and hair loss. My GP has sent my bloods for testing 3 times in the 5 months I have been unwell. I have been almost bedridden because of it. My levels keep coming back as normal. I feel and look years older and I just don't know what to do now. I KNOW these symptoms were more or less the same as the ones previously. Feel I've been left here to rot!

Sorry to hear about that. If its not your thyroid acting up; maybe they need to check for other auto-immune diseases as many of them have those symptoms. Have you been referred to a rheumatologist?
Hello Elta,
I have been reading the book "The Thyroid Solution" third edition, you can find it on the internet. i would read it in general but Chapter 7 would be interesting for you I think and Chapter 3, it is possible to have "normal" thyroid tests but have a issue with the immune system and throid. You could also ask your GP to refer you to a specialist(maybe endocronlogist?) or natropath.
