Hi Paul

You had a couple of answers to your question yesterday. Did you not receive any info.

Hi Paul, Why do you think it's too much? Your TSH is still much too high and your FT4 too low.

How much we need is a very individual thing. How long have you been on this dose? You don't really give us very much info, do you! lol However, it would seem that this dose isn't doing very much for you. What would be good would be to get an FT3 done to give us a wider picture.

Hugs, Grey

Paul,

You should be taking your levothyroxine tablets on an empty stomach, with just some plain water, and not eating or drinking anything else for at least half an hour.

Are you doing that?

Might be an idea to try taking them last thing at night instead? Lots of patients find that helps them to feel quite a lot better.

You do need to make sure you don't eat for two hours beforehand though. e.g. if you go to bed at 10pm, don't eat after 8pm.

A minority of people do lose weight when they're hypO.

Nevertheless, you should tell your doctor about the weight loss if it continues to be significant. There may be another cause that needs to be investigated.
