Can't help with the selenium but do use a milk thistle tincture by A.Vogel. Think Dr James Wilson mentions something in his book about adrenal fatigue and tinctures so either leave to stand or take hot. Hope this helps.

Does he really? I've read his book a couple of times now lol

Why do you take it? It's hard to know if one actually needs these supplements isn't it

Yeah Tincture ref page in Dr James Wilson's book is 172

I started taking milk thistle last year after reading Dr Raymond Perrins book about lymphatic massage and its benefits to those suffering with CFS/ME. He recommends milk thistle to help support the liver with the process of removing toxins from the body. Then I discovered the work of Dr P and he mentions it too in his book. With the liver having so much to do with so many important body processes I figured it must be worth taking it, especially with becoming so ill. But yes it sometimes hard to know if some supplements are doing any good and whether we actually need them. Like anything, too much can become toxic but then I guess that's were the milk thistle would come in handy! Lol

yeah thanks, i just looked on page 172 and he mentions tinctures....but nothing about milk thistle.

Do youknow of anyone who has used Dr Wilsons supplements?

I've read good things about milk thistle and still do think it is a good herbal supplement. I think it's also called silymarin so maybe that's what Dr. Peat calls it. Not sure if I spelled that correctly.

No sorry I don't. I have thought about using them myself once or twice as had a real rollercoaster of a journey the last 3months with glandulars and hydrocortisone cream. Back on the NA but just 4 now so will see. Also using Dr Rinds temperature chart which is providing me with some insight into how my adrenals are doing. I do remember someone on here posting about Dr Wilson's supplements as think their naturopath had recommended them. You could post question asking if anyone has taken them and ask for feedback.

Yeah I think I will! He seems to be the man when it comes to adrenals :0)

I take selenium as it helps converting T3-basically it helps with my hypo thyroidism. Recommended by a pharmacist -I take it every alternate day.

Yeah I heard this. Does it do the job though? In what quantities do you need to be taking selenium for it to be affective?

Cheers
