Hi Dianne.

So far no good! Not one suggestion.

Would you be interested in swapping story of what's happened to you

with me? I am willing to do the same.

Kind regards

Karen

Here in the UK, you're unlikely to find an NHS medic who 'specialises' in Hashimotos disease. Generally speaking, they don't differentiate between idiopathic hypothyroidism, autoimmune hypothyroidism or any other cause of hypothyroidism. The reason given is usually something along the lines of 'the treatment is the same regardless of the cause'.

If you can afford to see someone privately, you could ask Thyroid UK for their list of private doctors that have a special interest in thyroid.

Well I paid private, thought I'd found the perfect Endo. Paid twice, once for consultation and then for bloods. I told him I would then go on NHS

I got an appointment for the 17th.Feb. Yesterday the hospital rang to tell me, that, unfortunately the Endo wasn't taking on any new patients !

:( gutted

I am not surprised you are gutted! Can you use choose and book to find another endo and use the results you have paid for ?

Look up the Institute of Functional medicine. You will find some practitioners there.

Look up Dr Kharrazian. You can find some practitioners on his website. Some of them work long distance.
