Any ideas for making crushed NDT more palatable?

I have heard that crushing NDT is better than swallowing it whole, however the texture and taste make me gag and now I cannot bring myself to take it this way. Any ideas?

Thanks

Carolyn which make of NDT are you taking? I've found ERFA fine to chew but the Armour I recently got is disgusting, sort of powdery and turns to nothing but tastes horrid and synthetic which is worrying. So I did what someone here suggested and tried it with some honey which was much better. This may be better for you if you can take the sweetness of the honey.

Thank you. I will give that a try :) I am taking Nature Throid. It takes a bit like cold, dried kidneys and chalk but definitely not pleasant! I like honey so hopefully that will make it more bearable!

OMG that sounds awful! I'm not sure honey would hide the taste of cold kidneys :( but perhaps a good strong one would.., Australian leatherwood possibly! Good luck with it!

Do you have to take NDT away from food like you do Levo?

If not, marmite should mask the taste! lol x

Whilst I do rather like Marmite, in this case it should be Bovril.

A good bit of steak and kidney...

Mushroom ketchup as well, anyone?

I chew my Armour up and have got used the the taste now. It was unpleasant to start with but I really don't notice it any more. I really can't bear the thought of eating any kind of offal though (forced my self to try the haggis last night), but don't mind the Armour :D xx

I'm the other way round. I like liver and kidneys but not cold! I really don't like the taste and texture of Nature Throid. I think part of it is the texture. I tried chewing it but I can't do that first thing in the morning or it makes me feel quite queasy, even the thought of it!

Another example of how everyone differs! I take Nature-throid and for some reason got into the habit of sort of nibbling it to death with my front teeth, rather than chewing it with the molars. Whilst I wouldn't exactly call it scrummy, I'm used to the taste and texture and don't think about it much at all these days.

I hold my breath while I chew the Armour then wash it down with a swig of blueberry juice which seems to mask it fairly well!

I hold my nose, put the armour in my mouth and chew swallow, have a few more gulps of water then let go of my nose LOL
