hypothyroidism and tendonitis

3 1/2 years after having a baby I still have tendonitis!! I have it in both elbows, both Achilles, left hip. I've read that tendonitis can affect people with hypothyroidism but I cant see if it's in many places at once. does this affect anyone else? I am currently on 200mg of levithyroxin

Where you hypothyroid before your pregnancy? Do you have a print-out of your latest thyroid hormone blood tests? If so post the results here complete with the ranges as it will enable some people to comment more fully and also what have you been prescribed. I just wonder if you are on the optimum meds. I am not medically qualified.

When I was on thyroxine after four months I had widespread muscle/joint pain but it has gone now.

I also heard of the link. Since being diagnosed hypo, i have suffered from achilles tendonitus for many years, but I also do alot of running so not sure what's what.

I was diagnosed 2 1/2 years ago after slot of visits to the Dr`s. my symptoms were dry skin, heavy non stop menstral bleeding which didn't stop from giving birth to starting meds. when I had the first blood test it shown I was hyper so the Dr said it needed repeating she also did some other tests which I think was a antibody test. I went in for the results and the Dr said it was bizarre because my TSH was now 12. I have now had an operation on one elbow which has given me movement back but not cured it. my last bloods were good they were as couple of months back TSH was just under 1. it's strange though because if I miss my meds I start with symptoms within a couple of days

when i was on 250 levo i had tendentious badly in both Achilles tendons and both elbows, i could hardly walk or carry things - but when i changed to armour and t3 it went away i now only get an occasional twinge
