Endocrinologist required in Greater Manchester or North West

Could anyone please help with a recommendation for a good Endocrinologist in Greater Manchester or Lancs area.

If you try drfosterhealth.co.uk/consul...

you have to select neck/throat and then follow the further selections. This should bring up a list of Endos and you can choose how far you would be willing to travel. However, we are not certain that this list is up-to-date and the Endos are not rated, simply listed.

Yes i did do that and the problem is as you say they are not rated so i dont mind paying for a referral as im not going to get an nhs one off gp. More chance of flying to the moon. id like to find a good one though. Its really difficult i know.

If you go to the TPAUK website(thyroid patient advacory) you can request a list of Endos from the founder of this organisation. She keeps a list of "good Dr's"- usually from word of mouth from patients who have found these Dr's to at least listen to them!!

If you find one, great. I've been searching for one in M'cr for over 30 years and no luck yet. Will try the TPAUK route though, thanks. My current 'solution' is an open minded GP and Dr. P when he comes to his clinic in Stockport. Had the GP for years, but only just discovered Dr. P. Good luck and hope it doesn't take you as long.

mmm. wonder if i could get referred to him. i saw someone who clearly doesnt usually practice endo and was described as euthyroid despite rattling and oedema, as well as blood markers being on the up again.
