same tsh result a year apart but feel so much better.

would any one be able to help me understand why my annual blood test result, tsh came back

reading 0.03 which is the same as last year.

But boy do i feel better than i did this time last year.

They did not test t3 or t4 this time.

Last year t4 was 23.3.

Could it be time is a healer.

I have increased my thyroxine by 25 mcg daily, since last year, so iam on 325 mcg daily.

Thank you for your time x

Hiya Happy

I would think your FT3 and FT4 levels are different than last time, and maybe you were low in some vits and mins and you've improved them too.

Great you're feeling better though :)

Hi Happy obviously the raise in levo of 25mcg has made all the difference and you are now a your optimal level and it is suiting you. All the best.

Look at it logically - if you need so much thyroxine replacement then your thyroid isn't working - so why then would you need your body to produce a thyroid stimulating hormone?

hi glynisrose i dont really understand your reply ie so why then would you need your body to produce thyroid stimulating hormone. i dont expect it to produce thyroid hormone as i dont have a thyroid. i was just wondering why i feel better even though my tsh is the same as last year.Dannia is right in saying that the t4 and t3 levels may be different than last time.

Sorry I was musing!! If you feel better then ignore the blood test results, after all the TSH test was only set up to support the use of synthetic thyroxine and really has no bearing on how people feel!!
