My antibody levels have gone up from 400 to 1000+ should I be worried?

I've been on 50 thyroxine for the past month and it's bought my TSH level down from 12+ to 3.8 which is pretty good. Can't really understand why the antibody level seems to have gone through the roof tho. Does anyone know? Thanks v much!

I'm sorry I don't know why but mine are over 1000 and I've heard of some people having antibodies of over 3000 so I just hope it's normal x

Oh and do you take selenium to reduce antibodies

Mine are over 1000 too, from what I've been told the actual figure is pretty much irrelevant,

Seems strange tho - as if the disease is getting worse? I keep thinking if your body is producing more antibodies then it's fighting the thyroid more and more, which can't be a good thing. HmMmm. I was surprised as my other figures had gone down. Yes I do take a selenium supplement and have gone wheat and almost entirely gluten free, which I thought was suppised to help. Ah well. I see my Endo on mon 4 a routine appt so will see wot he says and will let u know!
