Well, your FT4 is very low, and your FT3 is not very high, but how do you feel? Only you can know if these are the right levels for you.
I'm not sure if these are the rite levels. I'm on 75 mg levothyroxine. My GP only ever seems interested in looking at tsh. I had to keep asking to get T3 tested. I've recently started taking b12 tablets that was prescribed by the doctor. My last b12 test was around 210 . Recent iron test serum iron level 15 umol/L . ( 10-30) . Haven't felt in top of the world as I would have imagined since taken thyroid meds the last 6 months or so
There are no right levels, there's only what suits you. And I would think you need an increase in dose.
I'm afraid doctors know next to nothing about thyroid because they don't get taught much about it in med school. Yes, they do only tend to look at the TSH, because in med school they're taught that the TSH tells them 'all they need to know'. It's lazy doctoring, but they're just not interested because they were also told that hypo is 'no big deal'. Which is why we have to learn all we can about our disease and fight for ourselves.
I very much doubt if your doctor prescribed you the right sort of B12. They know absolutely nothing about nutrients, either. They prescribe what is cheapest and have no idea how it should be taken. Just taking B12 by itself won't do you much good. At 210 yours was so low that he should have tested your for pernicious anemia. But, if you're going to take B12 - and if I were you I'd buy my own! - you also need to take a B complex containing all the Bs (and nothing else!) because they all work together and need to be kept balance. He wouldn't know that!
I'm not sure what level Is to suit me tho. Not sure how to go about asking for an increase with levothyroxine. As my tsh is just under 1 I thought that would be enough ? Maybe an idea to try and ask if they can give me T3? Im not happy really with the b12 they have given me just a synthetic one cyanocobalamin. I bought the better you b12 spray from Holland and Barrett so I'll stick to that. I got a complete b complex as well so I could take both those together ?
