Ive just recieved results from my nhs endo, at my request. My endo said if my results are the same in 2 months she may REDUCE LEVO😳😳😳. Incidentally she is leaving her post by the time they are taken, so a different endo to contend with. Not only that but I dont see ft4 was taken either, so im thinking she is just looking at tsh. Any opinions, advise greatly appreciated. I was taking levo 75mcg with 5mcg thybon t3 in morning, a further 5mcg afternoon and 5mcg at evening, 12hours between blood draw and I fasted.
My take would be to increase levo, would I be correct?
Also if my replacement endo says to reduce levo, what do I say?

Say NO! They can't reduce it unless you agree... why would you want to increase levo based on these?
Your fT3 is well in range, I've just had the same from my Endo they threaten you with all sorts and when you refuse they will just write it up that you have been warned about the risks 🤗
I'm guess like me you aren't showing any physical signs of being over replaced or you would have lowered it yourself.... honestly why do they think we would want more than makes us feel well 😧
Almost everyone who takes any dose of T3 will have very low or suppressed TSH
Most important results are ALWAYS Ft3 followed by Ft4
And all four vitamins at optimal level
If GP or endocrinologist says " I have to reduce your dose because the guidelines say i can't let you have a below range TSH" .....
The first paragraph in the NICE (NHS) Thyroid Disease, Assessment and Management guidelines says :
nice.org.uk/guidance/ng145
"Your responsibility
The recommendations in this guideline represent the view of NICE, arrived at after careful consideration of the evidence available. When exercising their judgement, professionals and practitioners are expected to take this guideline fully into account, alongside the individual needs, preferences and values of their patients or the people using their service. It is not mandatory to apply the recommendations, and the guideline does not override the responsibility to make decisions appropriate to the circumstances of the individual, in consultation with them and their families and carers or guardian. "
Thank you for your reply, at leadt i have a back up now. Im very tempted to start taking an increase in levo until a couple of days prior to blood test. I have to wait until mid July for blood test so ive got a while
This has been requested by my endo, not sure if ft4 is included.
