Interesting 🧐 I’ve just stopped taking Thorne basic B because I think it was setting off the buzzing/pulsating in my veins. I haven’t had it since stopping. But I understand the GABA principle as I take Pregabalin for PTSD.

No mention of thyroid, I notice. Doesn't matter how much B6 you get, if your thyroid hormones are low, you'll still be anxious, if anxiety is your particular symptom.

I think the open access paper is what is behind the articles:

onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi...

I'm very wary of taking this one month study as a guide to anything longer term.

There are studies which suggest high dose B6 can cause peripheral neuropathy.

I'd want at the very least to look at lower doses, and longer periods, and different vitamers of B6.

(Am wary of this: The tablets were donated by Innopure (innopure.com/ Even if there was nothing actually wrong - it allows the question to be asked. Whereas if they had bought them anonymously, they would have eliminated even that question.)

I definitely agree with greygoose that getting thyroid medication optimal is key to mental health issues of those with thyroid issues. My anxiety is always worse if my thyroid levels are not optimal. I never experienced anxiety prior to having a thyroid condition. I would always recommend testing vitamins prior to taking supplements and then x2 year to see if adjustments are needed.
