Hi, does anyone know if I can get Thyroid s on prescription in Uk? Or any other alternative to levothyroxine?

No. Thyroid-S is not a prescription item. It's an NDT produced in Thailand and sold without prescription from certain suppliers overseas.

Alternatives to Levothyroxine are T3 or NDT. Both require a prescription in the UK, are difficult to get prescribed on the NHS but more available with a prescription from a private endocrinologist. The choice of NDT is Armour or Efra and the cost will be ongoing plus endos consultation fees.

Some members have done quite well on OTC thyroid glandulars mainly from bovine sources, either taken alone or added to Levo to help conversion abilities.
