Which antibody levels. There are different ones that indicate different conditions.

I wasnt told which Antibodies where positive but know they had to re send my thyroglobulin blood tests to a second laboratory in Birmingham for my advanced testing as apparently the antibodies can give the thyroglobulin a false negative result.

Thyroid peroxidase antibodies (TPOAb)Raised in Hashimoto’s thyroiditis (or autoimmune thyroiditis) and sometimes raised in Graves’ disease

Thyroglobulin antibodies (Tg Ab)

Sometimes raised Hashimoto’s thyroiditis

Thyroid stimulating hormone receptor antibodies (TSHR Ab, also known as TRAb)

Raised in Graves’ disease

I will find out which antibodies they are , However i didn't think i should have positive antibodies after a full thyroidectomy?

Graves disease continues even though the thyroid is removed. Graves disease does not only attack the thyroid but can attack the eyes too.

Why did you have your Thyroid removed? Graves disease antibodies can continue after removal and 10-25% can have antibodies after cancer google Thyroglobulin antibody resolution after total thyroidectomy for cancer. Good luck with your results.

I had my thyroid removed because i had severe hyperthyroidism, i had a strong dose of radioactive iodine to kill it but it didnt work , also i developed thyroid cancer.

I went totally gluten free about six or seven years ago. I had Graves’ disease and shortly after I went into remission for that I developed sero negative inflammatory arthritis at that point I was desperate and thought I’d try GF, part of the reason for that was we drive to the south of France in our camper with me eating French stick, croissants, pain au raisin etc all the way. By the time we reached the south my body - face in particular was so puffy ive got a photo of myself that a friend didn’t recognise as me.

Once I went totally GF and cut out all that sort of stuff I went back to looking normal plus my thyroid antibodies dropped and kept dropping - now they are so low as to not matter. My CRP also reduced greatly too. It could all be a fluke but I’m not prepared to eat gluten again to find out.so you could give going totally GF a try and see what happens. If you want to know whether or not you are coeliac then ask your doctor to test first.
