How do you remember to take your medication?

Hi everyone. Wondering how people remember to take their medication- I’m always setting alarms to take mine twice a day but I had wondered whether there might be an easier way to remember. I have weekly pill pots I use and keep them handy. I remember seeing a post about this a while ago but couldn’t find it again.

Any advice would be appreciated 🌸

I take Levo plus 1st dose of T3 early morning so put them in a little pot on bedside table with a glass of water, take them when I need the loo (which I do every day before rising). Or just take them when you get up.

Second dose of T3 I set alarm for and take late afternoon.

Put your tablet and a glass of water at your bedside at bedtime and, before you get out of bed in the morning, swallow tablet with one glass of water.

You can then get out of bed and wait an hour before you eat. You can then get on with your daily life.

Yep, that's what I do. I usually go to the bathroom about 5:00am, I take my pills then. I don't worry about the 1 hour before breakfast because exercises, shower, animal feedings use up that hour. And sometimes I just go back to sleep and get up at 8:00am and, if I am starving, I can just roll out of bed and go and eat.

While it doesn’t completely solve the problem (as I can still forget to take a pill, sigh) I have one of these sitting by the kettle :):

I need to take medication every 3-4 hours so I've got alarms on my phone to alert me. I've also got a fitness watch so set alarms on there too.

Thanks PaulineS - do you mind me asking what fitness tracker you use? Is there a particular one you’ve found good?

I had a Fitbit originally but when I died I went to Garmin Vivosmart 4 which I find very good & not as expensive as others, it has more features than the FitBit I had.

Thanks! I’ll check it out 😀

PaulineS - surely you didn't die and assume you mean when your Fitbit died in your sentence above. :)

I also assumed it was just a typo!

Set alarms to required time and very annoying alarm goes off and carousel turns dispensing correct pills. Never missed a dose since getting it. Got from Lloyds chemist but that was years ago but seen them is disability shops etc. Blimey just looked it up on amazon😮 ridiculously expensive now, think I paid £14.99.
