But the fatigue is terrible but if I up the tablet I overdose, if I take one of my old tablets with less of the medative I feel a little better. If I can’t get the Thiroyd tables are thyroid S as good as them .i feel better on the Medative except for the fatigue, which really doesn’t make sense. I had my bloods done last week as I felt so bad so will get the results next Tuesday. As I don’t have a thyroid, do you think I need more t3? Please help
Hi, I find this site such a help understanding ... - Thyroid UK
Hi, I find this site such a help understanding thyroid problems but do need help myself. Have gone onto Medative as cannot get Thiroyd table
Bloods should be retested 6-8 weeks after being on constant unchanging dose of thyroid hormones
What replacement thyroid hormones are you currently taking
What vitamin supplements are you currently taking
For full Thyroid evaluation you need TSH, FT4 and FT3 plus both TPO and TG thyroid antibodies tested. Also EXTREMELY important to test vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12
Low vitamin levels are extremely common, especially if you have autoimmune thyroid disease (Hashimoto's) diagnosed by raised Thyroid antibodies
Ask GP to test vitamin levels
Recommended on here that all thyroid blood tests should ideally be done as early as possible in morning and before eating or drinking anything other than water .
Last dose of Levothyroxine 24 hours prior to blood test. (taking delayed dose immediately after blood draw).
This gives highest TSH, lowest FT4 and most consistent results. (Patient to patient tip)
If/when also on T3, or NDT make sure to take last third of daily dose 8-12 hours prior to test, even if this means adjusting time or splitting of dose day before test
Is this how you do your tests?
Private tests are available as NHS currently rarely tests Ft3 or thyroid antibodies or all relevant vitamins

Thanks for your reply, am taking magnesium, vit d. Have been taking Metavive for the last few weeks, in some ways I find it good except for the fatigue. I will put my bloods on next week. I have managed the last few years quite well on the tablet called Thyroyd from Thailand but cannot get it anymore, so am struggling now. Thanks
