Best time of day to take Prednisolone and levothyroxine

I take thyroxine and pred for my PMR, I just had a thought in the night. I’ve been taking me pred at approx 4am when I wake to go to the loo, then my thyroxine at about 5.30/6am, so it’s in my system before I have a cup of tea between about 6.30/7am. I’m a ok doing it this way, I seem to remember one post saying to take the pred very early so as it works best that way, then it concerns me is too close to my thyroxine. Does anybody have either one at night. Any help would be appreciated.

I presume you have an underactive thyroid, early is good and keeping it away from tea by at least 30, minutes. My wife takes hers early. For my PMR I've tried all sorts of times very early,early, before breakfast. For me when I get up fits best and I split the dose, taking the second in the evening after dinner. I found FOR ME this works with Pred. From what I've read over the years it really does come down to what works For YOU. Try different methods, you'll soon know if it doesn't work.

Many thanks, I’ve been on levothyroxine for 5 years and pred for over a year, managed reduce to 2.5 just before Christmas,felt terrible my rheumatologist immediately put me back up to 3.5 now trying to reduce again. Thanks for your reply, I was just curious as to how others work it.

That's a really fast reduction, I would consider the next steps to be slow and reduced very carefully. O.5mg reduction taking at least a month, using tapering.
