Is COR your cortisol result? We use a different unit for measuring Cortisol in the UK, however cortisol should be at it's highest level first thing in the morning & then drop throughout the day, so your result of 6.8 is on the low side so it's good that your Endo wants to check it. Hopefully he will do a short synacthen test which will see how well your adrenal glands respond to the artificial ACTH they inject you with. Ideally they should also do an ACTH blood test at the start of the test to see if your pituitary gland is the issue.
