Missing a dose of levothyroxine

Hi all, I seem to have missed one 100mg tablet sometime this week. I only noticed today due to where I am on the strip of tablets, usually I end a strip on a saturday morning, I have 2 left to take ie sat and sun morning. Will it make much difference? Thank you, first one i`ve missed since starting them in nov 2019

As Levo is a storage hormone, you could take the missing tablet now to get you back on track. It probably wont make any difference if you don't take it, so the choice is yours

Thank you for your reply, if it wont make too much difference I guess I will just keep taking as normal and forget the missed tablet. I feel OK, so no noticeable issues. Thank you for your advice, it is reassurance which is all I needed as feel alright, best wishes Amanda

No idea why they don't put the days of the week on the back of the foil, like with the contraceptive pill, so that those who take one pill a day can see at once when they've missed one {and people taking more or less than one pill a day would be no worse off than they are now] x

I have a little pill dispenser I got from Amazon and dispense them to this once a week. It stops me having this issue of “did I take?” “Did I???” “I’m sure I didn’t...”

Hi, I miss one occasionally and don't notice till the next day. I just miss that one out and have never felt any difference.

I would not worry too much so long as it’s only occasionally as in a 30 day period one or two tabs are not going to reduce the total amount taken to any great extentMight be worth getting a 7 day plastic holder which cost about £4 from a chemist and place it near your kettle before first drink. That way you might not forget any anymore

Ah sure don’t worry. You’ll be grand. I have a monthly pill organiser by my bed. Am and PM. Keeps me right. Doesn’t feel so bad organising pills once a month.
