What is the feeling of the body and mind for them whenever they receive proper treatment for hypothyroidism?

I'm very lucky - I get NHS lio. I have lost all the hypo weight and feel properly "normal" :)

It's important to get the dose right - I need both frees nice and high in range, and to optimise key nutrients. It IS possible x

Agree absolutely.....the right mix of levothyroxine plus small doses of T3 to high high, but within range Ft4 and Ft3

Plus optimal vitamin levels and for me absolutely strictly gluten free and soya free diet

Complete return to normal life 😊

I think I’d like to chat with you if you’d allow me?

I’ve had glimpses of normal, but can’t seem to get it consistent. It might be nice to hear your journey to success!

I too am lucky to get nhs lio 😉

A good question, possibly somone who developed hypothyroidism when past childhood could help you. I was in my thirties when I was told I was seriously under medicated yet I thought all was fine I felt as I always had since diagnosis . A lovely doc upped my dose until in upper 1/3 of ranges, that was a revelation. Short lived as I moved after three years and was back to medicated to bottom 1/3 of fT4 at best for umpteen years. I decided to self source and was rather better until Thyroid S ran out, been struggling since. My best answer would be the change I felt all those years ago in my thirties, more energy and joi de vie.

If you don't mind me asking what thyroid medication do you take?

I am currently taking NDT. It is what I was prescribed at time of diagnosis and for years afterwards by the NHS.

We all need very different paths to success on our thyroid journey. I have been taking medication for sixty years and in that time only changed treatment twice. Once when the NHS ceased prescribe thyroxine / ndt and was changed to levo. Then a few years ago I decided I needed to self source. My thyroid was destroyed by radiation over sixty years ago you may find my situation is rather different to yours. I know that lots of Hashimotos/ autoimmune thyroiditis patients find huge benefits by going gluten free.
