Hello everyone! I am writing this post to get your feedback on a question I have, from your experience. My latest labs came up relatively good but with a suppressed ft4. Is this normal? I have never got such a result before, all my previous results had around the same percentage of ft3 and ft4. I would understand it, if I were on t3 medication but I am not. I am only on levothyroxine.
Detailed labs:
Tsh: 1,6 (0,5-4,5)
Ft3: 3,6 (2-4,4)
Ft4: 0,8 (0,7-2)
Cortisol 535 (133-537)

But the ft3 is high enough? Or at least higher than the equivalent of my ft4.I am on 137 MCG currently. It is very difficult to get a steady dose since from what I have noticed on me levothyroxine makes me gain weight. I am on a cycle where I increase my levo, I then gain weight and I am again on a low dose.
No supplements other than selenium, zinc and vitamin c on sparce occasions. But I haven't gotten any for a week prior to my labs.
Lots of us like both free T4 and free T3 to be nice and high in range - but free T3 is the most important result, as this is the active thyroid hormone your body can use. Yours is a perfectly respectable 2/3 through range - so if you feel great like this, don't change anything. But if you don't feel tip-top, as SlowDragon suggests, an increase in levo will increase free T4 and shouldn't push free T3 over range x
Not so good to be honest. But I haven't felt good for 2 years now so this doesn't say anything! :PThe reason I am asking is due to the fact that when I was on lower doses I had greater ft4 (though I had lower ft3). I am now on 137mcg and when I was on 125 I had both ft4 and ft3 around 40%. Is it possible that the dose increase actually reduced my absorption or something?

What makes you say your FT4 is suppressed? It's in range albeit very low in range but certainly not suppressed as that would have to be below range. If it was TSH with a common range of say, 0.2-4.2, suppressed is classed as below 0.1
Yeah you are right. Poor choice of words. It may be nothing. I just had a lot going on with my thyroid the last 2 years and I want to make sure that I am on the right path. I meant that my ft4 is actually lower now on 137 MCG than it was when I was on 125 mcg. It's like the more levo I take, the less ft4 comes up on my labs and the more weight I gain.
