Welcome to the forum
How much levothyroxine are you currently taking
Important to try to get same brand at each prescription
What vitamin supplements are you currently taking
For full Thyroid evaluation you need TSH, FT4 and FT3 plus both TPO and TG thyroid antibodies tested. Also EXTREMELY important to test vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12
Low vitamin levels are extremely common
Ask GP to test vitamin levels
Bloods should be retested 6-8 weeks after each dose change or brand change in levothyroxine
Recommended on here that all thyroid blood tests should ideally be done as early as possible in morning and before eating or drinking anything other than water .
Last dose of Levothyroxine 24 hours prior to blood test. (taking delayed dose immediately after blood draw).
This gives highest TSH, lowest FT4 and most consistent results. (Patient to patient tip)
Private tests are available as NHS currently rarely tests Ft3 or thyroid antibodies or all relevant vitamins

Hello Dusty and welcome to the forum ;
Very many people refer to the thyroid as being the body's engine, so in effect, yes you have lost this vital gland, but with optimal medication you can motor on very well.
Other people refer to the thyroid as the conductor of the body's orchestra of glands and organs, not forgetting the wind pipes !!
Do you have any blood tests results to share with forum members other than this T4 result which I'm guessing is a little over range - which is perfectly ok providing your T3 is in range :
What medication and dosage are you taking and what concerns do you have ?
