After RI treatment for Graves and failing miserably on Levo in ever increasing amounts Armour thyroid (2 grains) gave me my life back. My health board then refused to continue to prescribe Armour so had to purchase it myself. About a year and a half ago I found it wasn't working like it once did. I had to go back on Levo 100mcg but fpund this useless again. I have since added 1 and a half grains of Thiroid I had left over from Thailand to the Levo but still not a lot better. I have now also added 20mcg of T3 in split doses but again (although slightly better) still isn't effective at aleviating my symptoms. Any advice please as I don't want to kerp increasing the amount of thyroid hormone. My G.P is useless.

I take T3 only. I take one daily dose of 25mcg T3.

I used to take higher dose but am also fine on a lower dose.

I follow a method that Dr John Lowe recommended (now deceased) and he used to be a consultant to Thyroiduk and was also an expert on 'thyroid hormone resistant'.

He himself took 150mcg of T3 in the middle of the night so that nothing interfered with the uptake.
