Hi everyone,

I'm posting here for my son who is 6 and half years old.

His always complaining about being tired and has the not bothered attitude. He also complains about leg cramps as I think that's what his describing.

Looking at his last blood test that was done

24/6/19 TSH 3.19 (0.27-4.2)

T4 16.3 (10.5-24 5)

Ferritin 124 (30-400)

Iron serum 6 (12-32)

Vit d 162

02/05/2017. TSH 3.25 (0.27-.4.2)

T4 16.9 ( 10.5 -24.5)

20/09/16. TSH 3.39 ( 0.27- 4.2)

T4 16.5 (10.5- 24.5)

Is there anything that could be causing all this for him?

What are normal levels on a health thyroid?

I'd hate to think it could be thyroid related 😪. I don't want my son to go through what I go through on a daily basis.

Thank you in advance for all the help.

I don't know what optimal levels are for children as young as your son but

Iron serum 6 (12-32)

there is something very wrong there, has your GP not mentioned it. Even though his ferritin is a decent level, his serum iron is below range. I'd want to be discussing this with the GP.

Thank you SeasideSusie

My doctor has NOT mentioned anything..

I give him feroglobin syrup everyday which is a gentle iron.
