Online pharmacies. Real or scams?

I was thinking of getting some thyroid T3 and T4 meds from an online pharmacy where you can fill in a questionnaire and a doctor will check it and prescribe your meds so no need to go haggling to the GP. but someone warned me they might be a scam. Can anyone comment about this?

I used to get my T3 that way. But, I think that site is long-gone.

The doctor checking your questionnaire is just a formality. It doesn't mean much. They can't give you a diagnosis. Some of the sites that operate that way could be scams, as could any site that sells things. But I should think a lot of them are genuine. They wouldn't last long if they weren't. But, had the person that told you that ever tried one?

I personally use two of them and they are perfectly legit. Never had a problem, overnight delivery with trustworthy carriers.

But this does not mean that are not some pharmacies that are scams. The ones I use came highly recommended by others.

I think the questionnaire is a way to claim you´ve consulted a doctor (like some kind of disclaimer), but of course you can lie as much as you want to and they won´t be able to tell. But they do provide info about when to avoid a certain drug, and they do stress that you take it under your own responsibility.

The pharmacies I use do not carry controlled substances or anabolic steroids, and that I find reassuring as I would never want to order from someone that does.

One of these pharmacies also includes a copy of a prescription issued by an EU licensed doctor.

The don´t carry T3 drugs, though.

There is one online pharmacy that several people have complained about. They don´t require you to fill in an online questionnaire, but sell T3 and other thyroid hormone drugs on their website. They claim to ship from the EU, but payment is to be sent to a bank account in former Yugoslavia. Several people have used them, got an order confirmation but never received their order, and when they have tried to email their customer service their emails bounce back...so that might very well be a scam. I never used them myself, though, but did consider it at one point as they offer a T3 + T4 combo drug. Now I´m glad I didn´t...!

So, unless a supplier comes highly recommended, I´m afraid it´s all about trial and error...

I am confused even more now as I just found two online pharmacies selling T3 and Armour thyroid very cheaply with .co.uk addresses. One was £2.36 for 100 pills of Armour thyroid.

Why were the other pharmacies charging well over £150 I wonder and these peanuts? Were there more pills in the box? I cant remember offhand now but certainly there are some very expensive pharmacies selling T3 and now I see some cheap ones.

Having an internet/email address ending .co.uk means almost precisely nothing. The owner of the domain might be anywhere.

You can use a Whois service to try to find out more - but often real information is deliberately obscured.

Real Armour thyroid is never going to be anything but expensive. Regardless which country.

Is that the same thing?

I had to send a copy of an NHS letter showing my diagnoses before I spoke to a doctor x
