Can anyone clarify me if my thyroid function tests and antibody test results are within range then why is my goiter slightly enlarged?
The ultrasound showed 0.8 cm goiter right side. I have sometimes difficulty swallowing saliva otherwise feel fine swallowing other solid and liquid foods. The ENT specialist hasn't given much weight on this issue but I'm concerned a lil too much as I've serious anxiety issues.
Does someone else has/ had a similar problem?
P.S. I've read iodine deficiency could be the reason for enlarged goiter but in my case I use table salt with iodine fortified.
Thanks

Possibly because just being in range is no guarantee the that levels are right for you. But, we'd be able to tell you more if you posted your results, with the rangesn and let us have a look.

It's very rare for people to be iodine deficient in the UK/US/Europe. And table salt with iodine is not recommended. Table salt is not very good for you because it's full of chemicals to make it flow easily. And, excess iodine is anti-thyroid, so could be cauing your problems.
I had a goiter. I took high dose Lugols iodine and it dissapeared. I had no antibodies. if u take lugols u must supplement with vitamina and minerals. espacially selenium-
