Hypothyroidism & Fertility

I know that hypothyroidism can affect fertility but if I continue to take my medication and maintain my levels, will i maintain fertility. Or am i likely to be infertile? Im only 19 and im not looking into being pregnant bow im just worried for the future? Any advice from anyone who has experienced this will be much appreciated!

There are around 2 million people in the UK on levothyroxine due to being hypothyroid. Large percentage of patients make full recovery on levothyroxine.

On a forum you tend to get mix of newly diagnosed, like yourself....ones that can’t get diagnosed..or the 10-20% of us who have more complex issues

Yes once correctly treated fertility should be fine and healthy pregnancy possible.

It’s important to closely monitor levels of thyroid hormones and vitamins supplements before TTC and during pregnancy
