Hi Everyone,

This is just to let you know that we have launched our new website today. Some of you may not be able to access it for a few hours but don't worry, you will be able to see it soon.

If you see any errors, do let us know. It's not completely finished but we wanted to launch it rather than wait.

The design may change again over the next few weeks and we will be adding various things as we go along.

The website address is now thyroiduk.org and NOT thyroiduk.org.uk

We hope you like it! Do let us have your feedback.

Giving the new website address would be helpful.

Yes, I know. But it really ought to be in the body of the original post, not just in one of the replies.

I'm sorry Humanbean. The website address hasn't changed so I didn't think it needed to be in the body of the text.

However, because you had trouble, I will now add it.

Thank you. I get error 404 from the old address so none of my ThyroidUK bookmarks work.

Really sorry about that. The tech guys were supposed to sort that out. :-(

It isn't just the main address that's the cause of your bookmarks no longer working. You'll get 404s now for all your bookmarks because it is a completely different layout. Nothing is in the same place on the new website, and no redirects to any of the new pages have been set up. Every link to a TUK website page that's ever been posted on this forum will no longer work either :(

The tech guys were supposed to sort that out for us. I'll contact them and see what they can do.

There is now a message so at least people will know we haven't completely disappeared!

I think we are all confused as to why it is not simply being re-directed? If I go to thyroid.org.uk, I see the following:

SORRY!

Oh dear! Let me get back to them!

That email address, webmaster@thyroiduk.org.uk does not work. Cannot be delivered so people trying to report issues cannot...

If you really need any help, ask away! :-)

The Privacy & Cookies Policy link at the bottom of the page has little effect on a nice big screen.

But on a small phone screen it really does take up space and obliterates things. If it disappeared automatically, that might be acceptable but permanently getting in the way isn't. :-(

Thanks helvella. I think we may be getting rid of the pop up soon.
