Hi a question for the knowledgeable, I take a b complex and vitamin d3 together. Is this ok as I've read you shouldn't take vitamins at the same time. I'm now on 100mg of levo, my head is alot clearer my moods alot better, I still get off days, last tsh 1.2, no t3 or 4 done all other bloods are good now. My hair is still thinning, skin very dry, nails a bit better, still get orthostatic intolerance. I am very overweight which I put my joint problems to. Any comments appreciated. Tia

I take some of mine together, it's iron that you need to keep 2 hours away from other supplements.

As long as you remember to take D3 with the fattiest meal of the day, and that B Complex is best taken no later than lunchtime, I can't see a problem.

That's not really the best B Complex, it has folic acid and the better form is methylfolate, and it also has cyanocobalamin and the recommended form is methylcobalamin.

Your symptoms sound like you are undermedicated, if I were you if you can't get FT4 and FT3 done with your GP then I'd do a private test with Medichecks or Blue Horizon.

Last time I had private test they wouldn't take them into consideration. I'm due to have them done for the next blood test, I was surprised the consultant suggested the increase first time they listened...thanks

No, because an oral spray is absorbed through the mucous membranes in the oral cavity it doesn't need the fat which is needed when D3 is absorbed through the gut when it's a softgel/capsule/tablet.

How long have you been on 100mcg levothyroxine?

Do you always get same brand of levothyroxine?

When were thyroid levels last tested?

Vitamin D really needs testing twice a year ....how much vitamin D are you supplementing?

NHS postal kit £29

Vitamin D mouth spray by Better You is very effective as it avoids poor gut function. There’s a version made that also contains vitamin K2 Mk7

It’s trial and error what dose we need, with hashimoto’s we frequently need higher dose than average

Now that Susie has commented on the quality of your B complex - and you won't get better comments than hers - you could remove that photo and put up the photo of your results. :)
