How to profit from the sick and worried it is obscene. I hope the Government takes action. Dr Ali's 2 previous companies were closed down for not providing company year end accounts!! Says it all

According to the website, they are offering FREE testing for any NHS staff

The Private Harley Street Clinic are also offering a hundred kits to front-line NHS staff, free of charge. Payments made by these customers will be refunded. Customers who fall into this category should email us on nhsstaff@privateharleystreetclinic.com from their NHS email, quoting their original order number, and their professional body registration number. These will be prioritised and will ship on the next posting day.

Some people are just scum. The rest of us are trying to be kind - hopefully there's karma somewhere down the line ...

Rather like some corner shop folk buying lots of toilet rolls etc from supermarkets to sell at inflated prices.

Just seen that the GMC is also questioning this exploitation.

GMC concerned about doctors exploiting coronavirus fears

Medical watchdog responds to story of practitioner alleged to have made £2.5m off tests

The General Medical Council (GMC) has raised concerns that some doctors are “exploiting patients’ vulnerability” and are seeking to make hundreds of thousands of pounds selling private coronavirus tests to people worried that they may have been infected with the virus.

The GMC said no doctor should try to “profit from the fear and uncertainty caused by the pandemic”.

The regulator’s warning followed reports that Dr Mark Ali, who runs a clinic called the Private Harley Street Clinic, made a £1.7m profit selling £2.5m worth of tests in less than a week.

Just discovered this test on medichecks website. Seriously trying to cash in on the fear factor. It actually makes me want to boycott them:

There are always people who will try to profit in times of crisis. I have noticed someone advertising wills for elderly people which I find despicable.

Actually, I could do with making a will. I'm not keen on living in a locked down society

I'm afraid we are all heading for a lock-down it is just a matter of time.

And given this: pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/321... how useful is the test anyway?
