Levothyroxine causes migraines

Levothyroxine causes migraines as well as swelling in neck and diorrhear and racing heart. I have tried cutting dose to 12.5mcg and the next morning unable to leave my bed. Could anyone help please?

Maybe your vitamins and minerals are out of balance. Thyroid hormones work better when levels of B12 - Folate - Ferritin - VitD - both your own and the ones you take. Low Iron = low oxygen and can be the cause of headaches ...

Probably not appropriate in this particular case, but you always have to look at this sort of problem from both directions. It could be the levothyroxine that is causing such problems, but it could just as well be what is NOT in the levothyroxine.

I have read several reports of specific types of cancer where it has been reported that a large number of patients have consequently developed hypothyroidism. I believe that it is undiagnosed hypothyroidism that has caused the cancer. I believe that precisely because I got kidney cancer whilst of levothyroxine monotherapy following a TT.

It is precisely for that reason that I will now take NDT only, the loss of my remaining kidney if on levo or combined T3/T4 could easily prove fatal, I firmly believe.

I cannot suggest anything else.
