Hi all, just a little update from my last post. I have still not had my next visit to the endocrinology despite contacting him and being sent a reply ensuring me that he has made request for my appointment to his secretary.
I've given up the chase me, chase me circus that I found myself in concerning me and the thyroid experts. My energy levels are okay as long as I don't do much. Exertion usually results in me looking very grey and pale for several days after so I'm slowly getting used to the rules of replacement. My latest query was with mercury and pharma versions of levothyroxine. My usual generics or preferred generics are either Almus, Teva and wockhardt which I do ok on. For some reason unknown to me or my pharmacist have sent me mercury and pharma for the past two months. I've noticed a huge difference within myself and was wondering if anyone else has noticed a difference too with mercury and pharma. I don't want to say what the difference was or whether it was a positive or negative one but would like to see first what everyone else has experienced any differences. After all shouldn't they all be the same??

Many people find Levothyroxine brands are not interchangeable.
Once you find a brand that suits you, best to make sure to only get that one at each prescription. Watch out for brand change when dose is increased or at repeat prescription.
Many patients do NOT get on well with Teva brand of Levothyroxine. Though it is the only one for lactose intolerant patients. Teva is the only brand that makes 75mcg tablet.
