So, did you get that print-out of your blood test results? If I were you, I really wouldn't want to start on carbimazole without having the proper tests done.

The girls in the office said the result went to hospital they could not hand them over with out doctor permisson or with out a doctor on present they can are only able to give me statutory blood results the lady who rang me yesterday's was from then endocrinologist department she couldn't tell me results either as she was just the dr secretary she told he as looked of my bloods and he has sent prescription do my GP to start them soon as possible if i get any rashes or a sore throat to stop taking them and go to A&E is the drug that they gave me bad ??

It's not bad in the right circumstances, but the question is: have they done the right tests to actually know what the circumstances are? And, unless you get copies of your results, you're not going to know that, because it doesn't sound like anyone you're dealing with knows. You should remind them all that in the UK they have a legal obligation to give you a copy of your results - that's what the law says. In fact, your records should be available to you on-line. Ask if your GP practice has put that in place.

Can't you show up to the office and request lab printout in person, can't ignore you then? Over my 3 yr journey without a thyroid and all the crazy emotional and physical uproar I went through I don't take anyone's word that my labs are ok or not....I need to see it with my own eyes.

We all look online for answers to our thyroid disease, it's not you and don't feel bad about asking for what is rightfully yours to have and "yes" I had many bad doctor experiences and one particular Endo after I lost my thyroid to cancer and my emotional and physcical health plummeted instead of helping me he told me Im unhappy with my weight gain and should seek a support group to get over it (Thank You Captain Obvious)and I dissolved into a puddle of stress in my car and for long time I blamed myself for feeling bad everyday "until" I met another lady in a grocery store who asked me did you have thyroid cancer pointing to my neck Yes, this lady cried her and I had the same idiot Endo (she had thyroidectomy for cancer a year before me, same clinic) and the Endo came into her room and said to her and her husband I don't know why your crying ITS ONLY THYROID CANCER what kind of doctor says that to someone... I filed a complaint against him year or so ago after I fired him because he called my house (I never asked for a call) and told me Im going to die from heart disease and my bones are going to crumble if I don't reduce my thyroid meds seriously his words No hello how are you are you feeling ok nothing just telling Im going to die "who does that" doctor dumb does hate that man.... I was ticked this moment made me mean and I dont care what those desk jockeys think and I let my mouth rip.

I think everyone has a threshold of how much they are willing to let people treat them bad or blow them off. You need a big mouth to go with you. People who are well have no understanding of us who suffer everyday and the desk jockeys are some of the most insensitive people I've met (not all) some are great but your only as good as the people in charge of the clinic...poo rolls down hill!

Speak up or forever suffer without knowing why.

I know you have a 'diagnosis', but the question is: on what is that diagnosis based? If they didn't do all the right tests then it isn't a diagnosis at all, it's a wild guess. That's why you need to see your results. Did you tell these snotty women that they were breaking the law?

There's no reason to be nervous. They are YOUR results. Don't say 'can I have...' Say, 'I would like…, please'. It sounds firmer. :)

Breaking the law again! They have no right to even ask, let alone insist.
