Armour Thyroid Sourcing

Hi,

I’ve recently been put on Armour having been on T3 only for years snd never feeling right. So I went private and was prescribed 1 grain of Armour twice a day and to go gluten free.

My latest results before starting the Armour

TSH 10.76 ( this has jumped up from 1.7 6 months ago

FT4 <3.2 it’s always this as only take T3

FT3 3.6 this has dropped from 6.1 6 months ago

My question is, where do people get their Armour Thyroid from please?

Please inbox me as I’ve just paid £120 for 100 1 grain tablets and I’m hoping that someone will tell me I can source them for less. Especially if I need to up the dose as this is just the starting dose..

ThyroidUK has a page on their website with information about pharmacies who can supply Armour with a prescription. You could ring round to compare prices:

It would be cheaper to be prescribed 2 grains, and use a pill cutter to halve them; but unless you are wedded to having Armour instead of another brand of NDT, the others are far cheaper.

ERFA is cheaper and get from same places on thyroid.uk ,, Im on this but have never tried Armour thyroid also I cant tell you if better or worse,,
