Palpitations

Hi Does anyone suffer palpitations after drinking red wine. Try not to drink it but went out for a meal. Had 2 large glasses of red then 1am woken up with palpitations took a while for them to calm down.

Also got mercury Pharma this time and noticed both tablets the same size for 50 and 25 so now worried they are using more bulking agents. And my eyes seem blurry. Anyone suffering the same. Hate this disease.

Foxy23, MPharma 25mcg tabs have always been large, so I doubt there's any change in the amount of excipients.

Red wine can cause a histamine reaction, which might account for blurry eyes (not sure about the palps). As the pollen count will also be high in most of the UK at the moment, see if an antihistamine helps your eyes :)

Hi thanks for your response. When I had them a few years ago they used to be smaller. Not sure why they have increase the size as there is only half the amount of drug in it. Unless I am getting mixed up with wockhart. I have been on almus they are both the same size too. I just wish I could get the real deal and not have synthoids.

With the tablets being the same size could you have accidentally taken too much? That would certainly explain the palpitations.

No taken the correct dose of 75 but the pharmacy keep changing my meds it's either mp or northstar. But I have thought mp seems to be stronger. I have asked that they keep me on mp as I am all over the place. You would think the drugs would be the same....

For the last 2 years alcohol particular red wine does this to me. I used to enjoy a bottle of red on a weekend. But stopped due to this, as not pleasant. So only drink occasionally now.

The potency can change slightly between brands. Brands have to work to a tolerance so one could be at one end and another the other end of the scale so that some could be almost a dose change amount.

Just had 4th July BBQ last night and I live in the wine country. SOooooo... lots and lots of wine followed by total 8 hours of insomnia. I don't usually have a bad reaction with moderate wine intake but too much especially like last night will be bad news. But to your question, I've never had palpitations. Oh, and I am usually a red wine enthusiast and take 1.5 grains of Armor NDT after a total thyroidectomy >10 years ago.

Happy belated 4th of July to you! We celebrated it yesterday here with a toast - and since my TT 5 months ago I get much woozier much more quickly ! But no palpitations thankfully. I have very good friends who live out your way. All the best.
