If it’s simply levothyroxine, you can just wait until the morning to take your dose and then carry on from there. Levothyroxine has a week-long half life so it’s safe to stretch the gap between doses a little bit on occasion.

If you take any liothyronine you might need to take a different approach as the half life is much shorter.

That should be fine then. Just switch your Levo dose to the morning. If you happen to wake up in the night you could take it and go back to bed the first time you do it.

You are only taking 10mcg as single dose T3?

Recommended on here that all thyroid blood tests should ideally be done as early as possible in morning and fasting. This gives highest TSH, lowest FT4 and most consistent results. (Patient to patient tip, best not mentioned to GP or phlebotomist)

Last Levothyroxine dose should be 24 hours prior to test, (taking delayed dose immediately after blood draw).

If/when also on T3, make sure to take last dose 8-12 hours prior to test, even if this means adjusting time or splitting of dose day before test

Is this how you do your tests?

Perhaps you need to split dose?

Many of us need to take T3 as 2 or 3 doses.....

5mcg at 8 hour intervals - 15mcg total per day

Taking 5mcg T3 at bedtime can help improve sleep for many of us. Some try it, though and don't get on with it

Presumably your vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12 are all optimal?

Hi SlowDragon, i thought taking my T3 at night with Levo make my sleep bad but actually my sleep for months now has been bad anyway 5 times a night broken sleep not been great for months in my mood not like me got Endo results nxt week so hopefully i can see if i need dose adjustment. Ive got the griff of 24 hours last dose of Levo 8 hours for T3 i just used to get in a muddle in its actually over like 36 hours left my b complex off for 7 days biotin in it id rather take all meds together really.. by the way could i ask you is it wise to take a probiotic? Ive been on antibiotics twice since March on them now ive heard antibiotics they interfere with the gut flora any advice?

Personally I have to take my T3 as 3 doses per day. 8 hours apart (10mcg at 7am, 5mcg at 3pm and 11pm) slightly Inconvenient, but essential

I was astonished how much it improved sleep moving last dose to bedtime. Discovered this by accident , when I moved last dose T3 later to get last dose 8-12 hours before blood test

Many others on T3 find similar, that a small dose before bed is beneficial

Yes probiotics after antibiotics is probably a good idea (not at same time as Levothyroxine or T3)

The first time I tried to switch I really struggled. I diff what some suggest and skipped the night dose and took it in the morning, instead.

At the time I was quite undermedicated, as it sounds like you are, and doing it that way means half a day less hormone.

These days I always do it the other way round, taking the evening dose AND a morning dose as well on the day I change over, then carry on with the morning. This way I'm having half a dose extra that week. Which I think gives a bit of a boost to help smooth over any shock it causes the body.

I'd now always recommend shifting doses that way, the only reason not to is if you already suspect you're overmedicated.

That does sound a good way to try it i can only try im not over medicated Thank You for replying...
