I had synatcthen test about a month ago but only just got the ranges

Results were

Baseline cortisol 127 nmol

30 mins 537 nmol

60 mins 499 nmol

Hospital says :

Baseline should be over >170

Serum Cortisol should rise by at

least 200 nmol/L and to a concentration greater

than 420 nmol/L

unless on HRT and should reach 640nmol

I am on HRT but they dont seem to think it matters, andthey appear to think I have a normal response to SST ?

I am somehow not convinced,,, is it because it was over 200mls..

I think i will be getting further testing, GP unsure and contacting another Endos advice on it all,, I thought get a better answer from on here

it took them a month to give me reference ranges

Hidden knows a lot about adrenals and cortisol. Perhaps she might be able to help, if she sees she's been tagged.
