I had a TT last year in February and, never been able to get my levels right since. My endo finally agreed to put me on NP Thyroid and currently on 120 mg but, now my TSH keeps going down and my T4 and T3 are not really at an optimal range so, she is wanting to change me to synthroid again or reduce my dosage.
I am starting to feel hyper symptoms; head tremor, anxiety, can't sleep. She checked my cortisol levels and said I was fine. My iron in low and now taking iron. My other vitamin she wouldn't test because she said they've been fine before.
Here are my results. What would any of you do? I'm going to a functional Dr. Today and hoping he can help me but, I need advise from people that have been here please.

How on earth would she know, you can't make assumptions. As iron is low there's every possibility that other nutrient levels could be low.
As your doctor is prescribing NDT, she should know that this tends to lower TSH, can even suppress it, and FT4 also tends to be low, this is all due to the T3 element in NDT - it's what T3 does.
The most important things when on NDT are how you feel and your FT3 result. Your FT3 at 2.73 (2.18-3.98) is 31% through range. Most people would feel best when FT3 is in the upper part of it's range when taking T3 in any form.
Anxiety and insomnia are symptoms of hypothyroidism as well as hyperthyroidism.
Thank you so much for the information. My endo has no knowledge of NDT. I had to beg for it. Most Drs. Here in the US prescribed Synthroid (I believe it's due to the financial kickbacks they receive)
So, I'm not hyper with this TSH? And, being hypo can make me feel this way...I didn't know that, thank you
It's low, but where one would expect it to be when on NDT.
I'm on a combination of Levo plus T3 and my TSH generally comes back <0.1 or <0.005 depending on which lab does the test. lt was always well below range when on Levo only. I'm definitely not "hyper" nor am I overmedicated as both FT4 and FT3 are within range and I certainly don't have any symptoms of overmedication.
You can see some symptoms of hypo and hyper overlap. But "hyperthyroid" isn't possible when you are hypothyroid, it just can't happen, but you can be overmedicated.
Recommended on here that all thyroid blood tests should ideally be done as early as possible in morning and fasting. Last Levothyroxine dose should be 24 hours prior to test, (taking delayed dose immediately after blood draw). This gives highest TSH, lowest FT4 and most consistent results. (Patient to patient tip, best not mentioned to GP or phlebotomist)
If/when also on T3, or NDT make sure to take last dose 8-12 hours prior to test

Private tests are available. Thousands on here forced to do this as NHS often refuses to test FT3 or antibodies or all vitamins

Did you have Graves' disease?
If so, Changing to a strictly gluten free diet may help reduce symptoms, help gut heal
Ideally ask GP for coeliac blood test first or buy test online for under £20, just to rule it out first
Assuming test is negative you can immediately go on strictly gluten free diet
(If test is positive you will need to remain on high gluten diet until endoscopy, maximum 6 weeks wait officially)
Trying gluten free diet for 3-6 months. If no noticeable improvement then reintroduce gluten and see if symptoms get worse
Thank you for your advice! My first Dr told me that I have graves and hashimoto's. I saw the test results for hashimoto's last year and it was very high. I was 3800 out of normal range 0-30. He told me that there was nothing that I could do. No other Dr has tested me again.
I'm in the US so, I'll look for labs that I can do my own and do gluten free. Thank you for the advice.
