I have received notification from a previous supplier as follows:
"You have probably heard about the sudden price rises for Thyroid-S (light brown tablets). We have some more sad news for all hypothyroid patients. T.R. product (pink tablets) has been canceled by the manufacturer and it is no longer available. And big prices rises are coming soon for Thiroyd (white tablets)."
Does anyone have any information regarding this worrying prediction?
I have read on another forum that a very trusted source of Thai NDT has sent out this information and that it's considered to be accurate.
I just wondered if they are having pressure put on them by Big Pharma?
It's possible.............
Possibly TR is not as popular as the other two brands so not worth producing.
Maybe there is a rise in the cost of raw material which accounts for the increase in price.
We probably wont find out the real reason.

There are meds that arnt tolerated well at all if YOUR toxicity levels are maximum .
No one detoxs between meds and wonder why we don't know what day it is ..

I've been through similar in 2012 as was fitted with PIP implants .
Scare mongering is a terrible trait of this country at the moment and I won't worry you won't die ...

There is nothing about this on my supplier's website (very reliable) but I have emailed the person in question to find out more.
TR has only been available for 2-3 years and it's likely that users who were happy with either Thyroid-S or Thiroyd never considered switching to TR; I know I certainly never did. So that could be the reason TR is going out of production.
If I hear anything from my supplier I'll post it here.

Sriprasit, the manufacturer of Thyroid-S increased the selling price and said there would be a lack-of-stock situation again soon, due to changes to Thailand customs rules that affect the availability of the ingredients of Thyroid-S. We strongly recommend you all to grab your chance to have the pills in hand .
That's another worrying situation for those of us who are yet to find a suitable treatment - the options keep narrowing down.
I'm tempted to buy some to stock up just so that I can keep on trying different alternatives in the hope something will work.
I'm currently trying a combination T4/T3 from Italy, and while I have enough for 4-6 months (depending how I tweak the dosage), I've read that too is no longer being produced. I do feel better already, though not yet quite "myself". And of course, once I use them up, I'll need to try something else, and was hoping to move on to NDT.
There seem to be different views on how to "preserve" Thai NDT, some say keep in the freezer, some say avoid that to keep them dry. Can it be used beyond its use by date?
Don't keep your pills in the freezer! The chances are they will become damp and that will make them lose their potency. Keep them in a cool place at room temp, out of the light.
