Why have you stopped your thyroxine? if you are diagnosed hypo your symptoms will eventually return, do you have any results to show what your levels were ?

It's possibly the HRT that's causing the bleeding but you should get checked out.

Without more detail it's not possible to advise you. Why have you stopped taking your prescribed meds? What is it that you want to achieve by doing so? It is common for people who do so, to say they feel better in the short term, but it is unlikely to last, and indeed being without the thyroid hormones that we need can cause damage to heart, brain, bones ..... to name a few important parts of us that can be directly affected. Depending whether you have any thyroid function remaining, ultimately you can become ill, and worse case scenario if you remained untreated could be that you go into myxoedema crisis and death ensue.

Is your GP aware of this.

It's well known that many patients feel "better" initially after stopping Levothyroxine

It's very unlikely to last. You may become extremely unwell

After 9 weeks with no Levothyroxine you definitely need full Thyroid and vitamin testing

For full Thyroid evaluation you need TSH, FT4 and FT3 plus both TPO and TG thyroid antibodies tested. Also extremely important to test vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12

Low vitamin levels are extremely common, especially if Thyroid antibodies are raised

Recommended on here that all thyroid blood tests should ideally be done as early as possible in morning and fasting. This gives highest TSH, lowest FT4 and most consistent results. (Patient to patient tip, best not mentioned to GP or phlebotomist)

Private tests are available. Thousands on here forced to do this as NHS often refuses to test FT3 or antibodies or all vitamins

Medichecks Thyroid plus ultra vitamin or Blue Horizon Thyroid plus eleven are the most popular choice. DIY finger prick test or option to pay extra for private blood draw. Both companies often have special offers, Medichecks usually have offers on Thursdays, Blue Horizon its more random

Come back with new post once you get results and ranges

I was fed up with my GP's ignorance, she has no idea how I am feeling. I have relapsing graves disease and hashimoto too, so they are prescribing me the same amount whether I'am high or low, I have had radioactive treatment settled down for a while, but informed my doctor that I just didnt feel right and she said my blood test was border line, poppycock to me it is either right or not this how they missed it for 3 yrs as it was "borderline"...
