Very interesting link - I started off with Graves, After be8ng in remission fir a few years I developed RA.
I suspect I had undiagnosed inflammatory arthritis for a very long time before it was eventually diagnosed just as I suspect I had thyroid problems for a long time before I finally reached a point when a doctor recognised that I was actually quite ill.
Autoimmune conditions suck!
Struggling to type this as I only have one hand working properly at the moment. I'd be interested to know if/how this works the other way, i.e. are those with hypothyroidism more likely to suffer RA? I am aware that having one autoimmune condition tends to make others more likely, but what about hypo from another source, such as my own secondary hypo? Is there any evidence that the metabolic and neuro-endocrine disruption can contribute to RA? What experiences do others have of this, or is there a paper I could read?
