Newly Diagnosed, results attached

Family history of Graves, I'm wondering if these results are suggestive of this? Would welcome comments.

It could be, but it could also be a Hashi's hyper-phase. You need antibodies testing.

TPO and TG for Hashi's

TSI and TRAb for Graves

Thank you, I had wondered as I think my symptoms are generally more hypo than hyper. Any tips for the best way to get antibodies tested? I have my first Endo appointment on 10/12 - will they do it as a matter of course or do I have to ask?

I think if the endo doesn't mention it then do so yourself, emphasise that you want both lots done, not just the Graves antibodies, you need to rule out (or in) both Hashi's and Graves in your situation , rather than the endo deciding it's Graves without proof.

Ok, thanks, I find it hard to be assertive with "experts" so it's useful to go in armed with a bit of knowledge. I really appreciate the help I'm getting from posters here.

Ask your GP to test vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12 and coeliac blood test

Both Graves and Hashimoto's often lower vitamins and/or gluten intolerance is common. Best to rule out coeliac by testing first, before trying strictly gluten free diet
