T3 help, maybe adding back NDT

Hello, i have been on T3 since Aug 1, 2018. Previously to that i had been on NDT for 4 yrs. Toward the end i started experiencing painful trigger points in my back as well other hypo symptoms i never stopped having during that 4 yrs. I fell upon an article in regards to my trigger points, so with much prayer and consideration I made switch to T3 only. I am currently taking 40.5 mcg a day. My last dose is @ 4:30p and cannot tolerate anything after this time or i will not sleep. I am experiencing through the night as well as awaking hypo symptoms. I have also gained 5 lbs since starting T3 only. I have tried to increase my doseage and my skin starts feeling miserably dry. So i am wondering if i should start taking a low dose of NDT at night before bed? Would greatly appreciate any advice. ~Thanks in advance.

Sympathy and Prayers to you . It might be that you need some T-4 or NDT . Would you know your thyroid lab values ? It would be very helpful to get the right advice . Also are you on any nutrients ? Nutrients are very important with our thyroid meds . But not to take them the same time as the thyroid meds .

Yes, i am on Vit D, K, A , E, magniusium, selenium, CoQ10, zinc, and methyl from Thorn for MTHFR.

There are 2 lab results below, first is from April 2018, 2nd from Sept 2018. I split them. Done by 2 different doctors that didn't help much and won't do t3 only for patients. Also D3 low in both and i have increased to 7500 IU/day. Thank you so much for your response and prayers jgelliss, greatly appreciated!

Often, if you can't increase you meds and looking st TSH you need to then Vit D, B12, folate and ferritin need to be optimal. See SeasideSusie podts for required levels and how to get them there. If you get then to where they need to be you thyroid should work better and they will also help any conversion issues you may have.

Unfortunately we can't tell if we have a conversion problem once we are taking T3 in any form but I managed to correct mine through supplementing so well worth the effort.

Thank you silverfox7. I went and read seaside susie post. I can relate with doctors not wanting to help. It is so frustrating. I know some of my issues are also related to high sex hormones and not sure what to do with those. I will diffantely being adding back in some liver. Greatly appreciate your response.

This is all so overwhelming . Without a Dr's help is frustrating also. I don't know where to start. There is so much information on here, it can actually get depressing for me. I got to thinking that may be I shouldn't add back in NDT seeing i wasn't doing well on it before. I have never done T4 before and wouldn't know where to get it nor how to dose. Any suggestions?
