I’ve have just received a pile of blood work requests prior to my first endo appointment next week....
one of them is for random cortisol (I have 2 request s for cortisol)- do I need to do anything specific?
Also included are b12, folate, TSI, TSH, TPO, FT4,FT3, creatinine/electrolytes + urea.
I intended to pop along to local hospital when they open in the morning (they said ok to do that) usually when I have thyroid tests I have fasted and wait until after draw before taking my levo... with the cortisol addition is it still ok to have fasted?
Thanks

You'll be fine to fast, it won't affect the cortisol blood test. Just make sure that it's done as early as possible in the morning, cortisol is at it's highest first thing in the morning. You said you had two tests for cortisol - are thy both random ones or something else?
