I have not been diagnosed but i am doing a lot of research before i go back to my gp. I read on the site the following "Any level of antibody titre should be at least regarded as potenitally suspicious of future illness'.
My question is do all full thyroid blood tests show thyroid antibodies present i.e. if you dont have a thyroid illness they would not show in a blood test?
Does this make sense?
Thanks in advance.

It would appear that only TPO can be ordered by a GP. TRAB, TSI or TgAB are usually ordered by an endo. But a GP wouldn't know what he was looking at, anyway! You very often have to nag a GP ragged, just to get him to do a TPOab. And many endos like to diagnose Grave's first, and then refuse to do the antibodies in case they're proved wrong! It's a bad situation. And they don't understand the signification of antibodies, anyway.
