my one breast is swollen (like on period days) and it hurts and its hard when i touch ..this happens a lot of times before period but why onlyone?

I remember i experienced the same issue. Sometimes the soreness was both sides, other time it was only on one side. When i was peri-menopausal and now been post-M for 10 years, it all stopped. I would talk to the gynecologist. Maybe go for mammogram and get some sex hormone levels tested.

I've never had much discomfort before a period but did have a swelling and soreness in a breast one time - as if the whole core of the breast was hard - but it went away after a couple of days.

How long has yours been like that? Is it hot and/or red as well as painful? Do you have any discharge or separate lumps, or is it the whole breast? Is the nipple inverted or odd looking on that side?

My guess is you have a slight infection (mastitis).

But it would be wise to see a doctor if it hasn't gone in a day or two, or (of course) if it gets worse.

I get breast soreness when I get estrogen dominant I'm on estrogen after hyterectomy.
